TTT Ministry Activities Center
First Baptist Church of O’Fallon commissioned a property and facility Master Plan in late 2004. The Master Planning Team interviewed 15 different ministry groups within the church, asking them to project present and future facility needs. The results were presented to the church for discussion on May 1, 2005 and on May 8, 2005 and the Master Planning Teams recommendations were adopted.
One of those recommendations was to allow the architect to draw plans for Phase I, a Ministry Activity Center. This facility will provide space for the Academy and Preschool to be housed in one building; permit the annex to be converted into student ministry space; give us fellowship space to accommodate 500 – 600 for a sit down dinner; and allow the expansion of Adult Bible Study space. The new Ministry Activity Center will be built on the west side of the existing education wing connecting to the current fellowship hall and kitchen area.
The three level facility will contain eighteen classrooms on the bottom level housing Academy and Early Childhood students. Its second level (ground level) will be the “activities” level with 2 basketball courts, a stage, kitchen, and storage areas.
The top level – open to the gym floor – will hold a walking track and some additional adult classrooms.
Parking lot enhancements will allow for a circular drive in front of the new Ministry Activity Center allowing the Christian Academy a central entrance for all students.
