Celebrate Recovery

The purpose of Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles,” which are the Beatitudes of Scripture.

This experience allows us to “be changed.” We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our lives’ problems. By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and sometimes dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power - Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.

Anyone is welcome to join our Open Share Small Groups. There are 5 simple guidelines designed to keep every group safe.

  1. Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings. Limit your sharing to 3-5 minutes.
  2. There is NO cross talk, which is when two individuals engage in conversation excluding all others.
  3. We are here to support one another, not “fix” another.
  4. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group.
  5. Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered recovery group.

When people hear the word ‘recovery’ they think it only involves those struggling with drugs and alcohol. But, there are so many other groups that form through this ministry. Our groups are gender specific, open discussion, accountability groups.

Here are our Small Group descriptions:

  • Men #1 - Addiction Oriented Issues
  • Men #2 - Co-Dependency & Non-Addiction Oriented Issues
  • Women #1 - Chemical Dependency Issues
  • Women #2 - Co-Dependency & Family Issues (Non-Addiction Issues)
  • Women #3 - Other Addiction Oriented Issues, Grief, Divorce

We have a few 12-Step Recovery Groups going and Other, 12-Step Recovery Groups will form as we go . . .
